Accreditation

Why should a school have accreditation?

There are many reason that school accreditation is advantageous. An accredited school assures parents that the organization either meets and/or exceeds the minimum standards of a quality education. Being an accredited school give our school both a higher level of accountability as well as college and university accessibility. Accreditation provides credentials and demonstrates a level of professionalism. Our families can rest confident we are indeed meeting college and state standards, looking out for the future interests of our students.

Accreditation also provides oversight in the quality of the instructors and the instruction that is being received by our student and families. Smith Preparatory Academy’s instructors are both qualified as teachers and outstanding practitioners in their fields of study. Many years ago Smith Prep launched a dual enrollment program by partnering with fully accredited private colleges. Given our high standards and quality of instructors we are able to offer dual enrollment classes at our campus through Palm Beach Atlantic University. This provides our students the benefit of continuing their studies at Smith Prep while earning full college credit.
