Is there a uniform/dress code?
- Yes. The dress code consists of a Smith Prep polo shirt (order forms are sent with the acceptance letter) with khaki (uniform) pants, shorts, skirts/skorts or capris. Shorts/skirts/skorts must be to the knee.
Do you provide grades?
- Yes. Homework, essays, and tests/quizzes will be graded and returned to students on a weekly basis. In addition, semester evaluations will be mailed at the end of each semester. (For those seeking an umbrella school, Veritas Academy is available at a discount to Smith Prep students.)
Does your calendar follow the public schools?
- No. Because we are a private school with students driving from multiple counties, we set our own schedule. Classes typically begin in mid-August and end mid-May. Breaks are taken for the following: Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Winter Break, Mid-Semester Break, and Spring Break.
